The much-awaited south-west monsoon has finally reached Mumbai and also covered parts of Maharashtra, including Pune and Nashik districts. Heavy rains on early Tuesday morning lashed several parts of the city. Ten incoming flights were diverted to other airports, said sources. A number of arrivals were hit by poor visibility. Flights from Kochi (SpiceJet), Hyderabad (Jet), Bengaluru (Indigo), Delhi (Air India) and Bhubaneshwar (GoAir) were delayed. Also, a Singapore Airlines flight to Mumbai was diverted to Delhi. 'Departures too have been hit,' said an official. An aviation report released at 10.30pm showed that the sky over Mumbai was overcast with clouds at 8,000 ft and thunderstorms. Check Pics here
