The nation celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great zeal and enthusiasm on Thursday. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the festival with school children, other political leaders too celebrated it in their own ways. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed wishes to the people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan from his Twitter handle. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tied a rakhi to a tree at Eco Park in Patna to create awareness about environment among people. While, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani tied rakhi to several soldiers deployed at the Siachen Base Camp, the highest battlefield in the world and lauded their efforts.
