Tourists stranded in Andaman due to bad weather, Indian Coast Guard rescue operation underway

Eighty-five people have been rescued so far by four shuttles in a joint operation from Indian Navy, Air Force and Indian Coast Guard from Havelock Islands on Friday.  (Image: IGI)

Rescue and evacuation process of stranded tourists is still on said is still on said Indian Coast Guard's officials.

Earlier on Friday Governor of Andaman, Jagdish Mukhi, said that around 320 foreign tourists are stranded at Havelock and Neil islands in the Andamans after heavy rain and "cyclonic weather conditions" are safe.
