Union Budget 2017-18 simplified through Infographics

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented a historic Budget on Wednesday in which the railway budget has been merged and the date advanced by a month, retaining the 15 per cent surcharge on taxable income above Rs 1 crore. This is the fourth budget by Narendra Modi government. Finance Minister while presenting the budget made it clear that demonetisation move will not have a lasting impact on the economy. He also announced budget allocation for welfare of women and children under various ministries which shall be increased to Rs 1,84,632 crore.

As a measure of transparency in political funding, he lowered to one-tenth the donation that political parties can accept in cash to Rs 2000 per donor.
