This was the 21-year-old’s first Olympic and she seemed super excited after defeating the Belarusian 3-0. Still energetic after the fight, she slammed coach Kazuhito Sakae to the mat twice.

"Before the final, the coach said he wanted me to lift him on his shoulders," Kawai told Japanese media.

56-year-old Sakae is a retired wrestler. He won several medals at the Asian and world level between 1983 and 1989 in the -62 kg category.
