Kamlesh Nagarkoti was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 3.2 crores. Born on 28 December 1999, Nagarkoti came into limelight during the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in January 2018, which India won. Clocking regularly in excess of 140kph. His athleticism and ability to bowl long spells makes him a captain's dream. His lightning sharp reflexes at backward point, coupled with his hitting ability lower down the batting order, makes him an all-round asset. As an opener, Prithvi Shaw's stroke-play and footwork had many calling him a prodigy. He shot to prominence as a 14-year old when he scored 546 off 330 balls, an innings that contained 85 fours and five sixes, for his school Rizvi Springfield in the Harris Shield, a minors' cricket competition in Mumbai in 2013. A right-hand top-order batsman from Punjab, Shubman Gill is known for his penchant for big runs and was hence drafted into India Under-19 side as the vice-captain for the 2018 World Cup. He made his first-class debut before that, for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy in late 2017 with a half-century in the game and an attacking 129 in the next match. Shubhman was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 1.8 crore.
