Some of the players, who were bankrolled with huge numbers could not deliver the expected performance. In the tenth edition of the IPL, the English all-rounder was bought at a price tag of Rs 14.5 crore which was the ‘Biggest Buy’ in the last year as well.

Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 11.5 crore) – Another big purchase for Rajasthan Royals is Jaydev Unadkat who fetched Rs 11.5 crore in the auction. He was also a part of Rising Pune Supergiant in the last season. With this massive amount, Unadkat becomes the costliest Indian player in the 2018 Indian Premier League. The Indian pacer debut IPL in the year 2010 and had been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders, Rising Pune Supergiants, Delhi Daredevil and Royal Challenge Bangalore. He has played 47 matches in Indian Premier League since 2010 and has scalped 56 wickets.

KL Rahul (Rs 11 crore) – Picked by Kings XI Punjab, Rahul has banked Rs 11 crore this year. He made his debut as a wicket-keeper for Royal Challenge Bangalore in the year 2013. He has been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challenge Bangalore in the past seasons. He also has a century in his name in the T20 International match against West Indies.

With a huge experience of 103 matches in the league, the Indian batsman has scored more than 2200 runs in the past. His best performance was against Royal Challenge Bangalore when he smashed 114 runs of just 73 balls in the 2009 edition of IPL. He has also been a part of Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders in the past.

Chris Lynn (Rs 9.6 crore) – The right-handed Australian Batsman bagged Rs 9.6 crore in the latest edition of IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders has again embraced confidence in Lynn this year, therefore, making him the biggest buy for the franchise. He is popularly known for his aggressive form of batting and has astonishing records in the Big Bash League as well. He made his debut with Deccan Chargers in the year 2012 and has been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the sixth season.
