Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari released its all-new 488 Pista on its official website, auto.ferrari.com, on Wednesday.
The Ferrari 488 Pista will be unveiled at the upcoming 88th Geneva Motor Show 2018, which is set to take place from March 8, 2018 to March 18, 2018 in Switzerland.
The beast is made to offer impeccable track-like performance while being on and off the road, and also even when a non-professional driver is set to drive it.
With a maximum speed of more than 340 km/h, the car makes a perfect mark for the sports car range.

The 488 Pista is a more powerful, lighter variant of its predecessor 488 GTB, just like the 488 Speciale was to the 488 variants. The beast uses Ferrari’s most powerful V8 engine ever in the history of the company and is described as an “extreme evolution†of the turbo engine, which won the International Engine of the Year award in 2016 and 2017 consecutively.

The 3.9-litre twin-turbo engine fitted in the Ferrari 488 Pista produces a peak power of 720hp at a rate of 8,000rpm, and a peak torque of770Nm at a rate of 3,000rpm in the seventh gear. With a top speed of up to 340 km/h, the beast achieves 0-100kmph in mere 2.8 seconds.

The length of the new Ferrari 488 Pista coms at 4,605mm with a width of 1,975mm. The height of the beast comes at 1,206mm while its dry weight comes at a maximum of 1,280 kg with optional lightweight features. While the car can reach 0-100kmph in 2.8 seconds, it can reach 0-200kmph in just 7.6 seconds.

The original dry weight of the car is 90kg which is less than a standard 488 GTB’s dry weight. In addition to the twin-turbo V8 engine, an extra 50hp in the engine’s power has been added to ensure it is the most powerful and power-packed engine V8 engine yet.

The company has also updated its Slideslip Angle Control system, which was first seen in the 458 Speciale. The new 488 Pista offers advanced stability control similar to a drift model. The car uses Ferrari’s magnetorheological suspension set-up.

The Ferrai 488 Pista comes with 20-inch carbon-fibre wheel-rims which is also a first kind offered by the company. Other carbon-fibre parts on the car include the engine covers, bumpers, and real spoiler.
