Vertu, the luxury handset-maker, has officially launched its latest Vertu Signature Cobra feature phone, which has become the world’s most expensive phone with a price tag of whopping $360,000 (approx Rs 2.3 crore). The most striking feature of this costly device is its design having a snake figure that wraps the edges. No less than 439 rubies have been used to make the Vertu Signature Cobra feature phone, while the snake’s eyes are made using emeralds. The phone has 288 parts that were assembled in the UK, according to a Chinese website GizChina.

The company has so far manufactured only 8 units of the Vertu Signature Cobra. The phone is available for purchase on JD.com, the Chinese e-commerce portal. Also, buyers can pre-book the device with an additional charge of $145.
