A mummy as old as 1500 years found wearing a pair of (what possibly could be) Adidas shoes. Archaeologists discovered this millennial old mummy of a female, nearly 10,000 feet high in Mongolia’s Altai Mountains, wrapped in such a way resembling today’s style sneakers.

Surprisingly only the mummy’s hands and feet have been found with the iconic three-stripe logo of the German sportswear brand Adidas. Experts believe it to be one of the most exciting and unique insights they have had into Mongolian life of that time.

This mummy discovery is also being praised as first complete Turkik burial found in Central Asia. In addition to human remains, archaeologists have also found a saddle, a clay vase, a wooden bowl, the remains of an entire horse and other items, reportedly.

The grave was three metres deep and the finds show that these people were very skilled craftsmen. Also these findings help to reflect the beliefs and rituals of Turkiks.

Soon after the discovery, social media and platforms were abuzz with the Adidas wearing mummy found in the high mountains. Some people shared their amazement with witty comments while others just expressed curiosity over the 1500 year old mummy and history behind it.
