The world's biggest environmental movement has concluded now. Lights around the nation went off between 8:30 to 9:30 PM to observe 10th Earth Hour on Saturday

While celebrating Earth Hour, millions of people around the globe turned their lights off. Thousands of landmarks and monuments in the world went dark for one hour. 

It is a mutual pledge, a dedicated call for creating awareness among people to conserve earthly resources and help control the greenhouse emissions across the world.

Every year, thousands of landmarks across the globe switch off their lights in the world's biggest annual environmental event.

When was it first observed?

Earth Hour was first started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. Since then, it has grown to engage more than 7,000 cities and towns across 172 countries worldwide.

Why do we need Earth Hour?

Our Earth's average temperature has been on a rise at an unprecedented faster rate leading to many environmental changes which are not pro to the worldly habitation, including species, extinction of animals, ice cap melting which is broadly known as global warming.
