Elon Musk reveals first look of SpaceX’s spacesuit

Elon Musk, founder and chief executive officer of SpaceX, has revealed a picture of the company’s first spacesuit on Instagram.

Musk on Instagram wrote, “First picture of SpaceX spacesuit. More in days to follow. Worth noting that this actually works (not a mockup). Already tested to double vacuum pressure. Was incredibly hard to balance esthetics and function. Easy to do either separately.”

The details of the spacesuit have yet not been released. Musk did not reveal any specification of the suit or when it will be ready.

Musk in his tweets has acknowledged that the suit itself is very white and very spacey.

SpaceX’s recent tests have focussed largely on unmanned spaceflights and reusable rocket technology.
