ISRO is all set to launch its advanced weather satellite INSAT-3DR on-board GSLV-F05 on Thursday. This will be the tenth flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, which has been built to inject 2 to 2.5 ton class of satellites in geostationary orbits.

ISRO is all set to launch its advanced weather satellite INSAT-3DR on-board GSLV-F05 on Thursday. This will be the tenth flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, which has been built to inject 2 to 2.5 ton class of satellites in geostationary orbits.

In January 2014 and August 2015, the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle(GSLV) with similar configurations successfully launched D5 and D6 missions. The GSLV placed the GSAT-14 and GSAT-6 satellites in the intended GTOs ‘very accurately’. Here is all you need to know about ISRO GSLV-F05 launch:

Launch time:

The ISRO GSLV-F05 launch is scheduled to take place at 04:10PM (IST) on Thursday.

Launch venue:

The lift-off will take place from the second launch pad at the spaceport of Sriharikota, about 110 km from Chennai.

Live telecast:

Doordarshan will live telecast the ISRO GSLV-F05 launch. Also, ISRO’s official website will show the live stream.
