Mysterious Alien star brightness dips; scientists rush to solve the fluctuations mystery

The most mysterious star in the galaxy has begun darkening again. And in order to study the fluctuations of light scientists are rushing with their telescopes.

In the year 2015, the star  called KIC 8462852 also nicknamed ‘Tabby’s star’ after Yale University astronomer Tabetha “Tabby” Boyajian first came into notice as researchers discovered that the star emitted odd light. The star’s strange brightenings and dimmings have made some researchers think that it might attract some alien structures around it.

The scientists looked for explanation behind the fluctuations of the star. As much as 20 per cent brightness dip has been seen before reverting to normal.

The event will offer scientists an extraordinary chance to measure light from Tabby’s Star which is an effort to find the cause behind the mysterious dimming.
