National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has launched a gaming app that lets you to virtually float around the International Space Station (ISS).
At the ISS, you can meet the crew and even grow plants using your smartphone.
Users can do flips and fly around the international space station. The game called ‘Space Science Investigations: Plant Growth,’ users first have to understand and know how to fly in the zero gravity zone of ISS or the micro-gravity environment.
Not only this, the game users can strike up a conversation with the astronaut and ISS crew member Naomi, who will then and there explain you game’s leading mission: experimental plant growth.
The game imparts the knowledge to its users on issues such as what are the challenges for growing plants in the micro gravity environment and things such as how they can be watered sans gravity.
NASA has long been examining ways to grow plants in a low gravity environment, which is considered necessary for providing food during long duration flights such as to Mars, as well as in habitation pods on other planets.
