Twitter is making the best possible use of technology advancement as it plans to keep you updated on New Delhi’s air quality in the even-odd scheme by the Delhi government.

A Twitter app will provide a real-time glimpse of the new air quality of Delhi. Delhi-based social entrepreneur Amrit Sharma's automated Twitter account, @DelhivsBeijing, urges New Delhi's citizens to wake up to the hazards of air pollution. But there's a twist to the campaign - it compares Delhi's pollution levels to Beijing's.

How it works is every hour it the @DelhivsBeijing app tweets real-time air quality data from New Delhi and Beijing. At the same time for easier comparison it also displays a picture of Delhi’s famous place, say Humayun’s Tomb and Beijing’s Tiananmen Square.

Sharma applauding Delhi government’s initiative to tackle pollution in air quality talks about this app but also adds that extreme pollution levels can only be lessened with the combined effort of the government and civilians. The second phase of Odd-even scheme is slated to start from April 15, 2016.
