New Delhi:

Following the unsuccessful launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1H on board PSLV-C39 from Sriharikota on Thursday, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientists are now working on the anomaly which caused mission failure, said official release.

The rocket had a normal lift off at 7 pm from the second launch pad. "All the flight events took place exactly as planned, except the heat shield separation", it said.

"This resulted in separation occurring within the heat shield. The satellite is inside the heat shield resulting in the unsuccessful mission," the release said.

Scientists have undertaken a detailed analysis "to identify the cause of the anomaly in the heat shield separation event", it added.
