For a brief moment, day will melt into a dusky night in the US as the Moon's shadow will block the Sun's light, and weather permitting, those within the path of totality will be treated to a view of the Sun's outer atmosphere, called the corona.
According to reports, Indians and people all over the world will be able to watch it on US Cable TV and the NASA website. The space agency is all set to send massive balloons to livestream the solar eclipse for the first time ever.
The rare astronomical phenomenon will also be covered on a bunch of other news outlets, NBC and the Science Channel.
