Taking a billion dreams to the Moon, India’s second lunar mission Chandrayaan-2 aimed at landing a rover on unchartered Lunar South Pole has been successfully launched onboard the country’s most powerful geosynchronous launch vehicle from the spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
The three-stage rocket GSLV-MkIII-M1 blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at 2.43 p.m amid cloudy skies, a week after the earlier launch was called off on July 15 following a technical snag observed during the propellant filling stage.
Meanwhile, twitter reactions, which followed the successful launch of Chandrayaan-2, congratulate the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the major breakthrough that added another feather to its cap. Here is how Twitterati reacted on the event.

This is a good time to remember the visionary move of India's first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to fund space research through INCOSPAR in 1962 which later became ISRO. And also Dr Manmohan Singh for sanctioning the Chandrayan-2 project in 2008.
