The search for alien life has been continuing for years and those involved in these expeditions have several times come close enough to provide evidence justifying it. As far as 2017 was concerned, it has been quite eventful in terms of UFO spotting.
Recent reports of a UFO spotted in both Google Maps and Google Earth had been doing the rounds. A large triangle was witnessed in Australia with bright lights evenly placed around it at coordinates 30°30'38.44"S 115°22'56.03"E.
This triangle was discovered first in 2007 and UFO enthusiasts took a deep interest in it. Claims had come to the fore that it was a “triangle UFO” which had been captured hovering above Earth.
However, on closer inspection it was found that the 'UFO' is actually the Alvernia Studios, used for films, as well as features for video games and music projects.
In the meantime, a 2011 archive footage regarding NASA's shuttle launch has come to the fore after a strange white object was spotted.
UFO hunters have claimed that it is evidence of an alien craft. The old footage posted originally on NASA's official YouTube channel has been re-examined. Further, it was re-uploaded to the channel UFO Today.
The object has been interpreted by the channel as the "White Knight Satellite" - a rumoured extra-terrestrial craft that has been secretly orbiting the Earth for thousands of years.
Tony del Genio, co-lead of NASA's NExSS project at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York has claimed that the discovery of alien life may be only a couple of decades away.
Further, he has also said that alien life can be substantially different from Earth.
