Watch video: On-board camera shows mesmerising PSLV C-37 lift-off visuals and separation of 104 satellites launched by ISRO

Indian Space Research Organization has released stunning video from cameras mounted onboard the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C37 which carried 104 satellites on its 39^th mission into the orbit on its website.

While the video was downlinked at a low frame rate, the imagery shows the 145.7 ft rocket lifting off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on India’s east coast at 09:28 IST Wednesday, soaring through low clouds, then placing the satellites into a polar Sun Synchronous Orbit one after the other after a flight of 16 minutes and 48 seconds.

India successfully launched record 104 satellites, including CARTOSAT2 series weather observation satellite.

PSLV-C37 carried 104 satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The PSLV carried total 104 satellites including the 714 kilograms (1,574 lb) primary payload Cartosat-2D.

In the complex mission, the PSLV-C37 placed the 714 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite into the orbit and then ISRO’s nano satellites INS-1A and INS-1B were injected in an 505 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO).
