The nine-day festival of Goddess Durga is about to end but have you still visited the sacred temples in Delhi which are known for their sacredness and piousness.
These temples are a must-visit for anyone during Navratras and devotees from far and wide flock to some of them in Delhi to pay obeisance to Goddess Durga.

Jhandewalan temple
Located near Karol Bagh, it is an ancient temple and is dedicated to Maa Aadi Shakti. The temple got its name from Shah Jahan, during whose reign prayer flags or Jhandas used to be offered here.
Kalkaji temple
Dedicated to the Kali avatar of Goddess the temple is located in South Delhi and was built in 1764 AD by the Pandavas who worshipped there. It is also known as ‘Manokaamna Siddha Peetha’ or ‘Jayanti Peetha’.
Yogmaya temple
The temple got its name from Goddess Yogmaya, Lord Krishna’s sister and is believed to be built during the Mahabharata period. The temple was reconstructed by Rajput King Hemu who brought it back from ruins.
Chhattarpur temple
It is the second largest temple complex in India and is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. It was built by Baba Sant Nagpal Ji in 1974 and his Samadhi lies in the temple complex.
Gufa temple
The temple has got its name from Vaishno Devi shrine and is situated in Preet Vihar, East Delhi. It is touted to be 22 years old.
