New Delhi:

From the first pay cheque of her life to the stunning victory in Amethi, Union Minister Smriti Irani on Friday opened up on a wide range of factors close to her heart. At the Grand Finale of News Nation’s Hamari Sansad Sammelan, Irani extensively spoke about various events that shaped her life. Talking to News Nation’s Deepak Chaurasia, Irani called Rahul Gandhi 'bade baap ka beta', adding that the way it goes, the Congress chief will fight next elections from Sri Lanka!

On her Amethi victory, the yesteryear's Television actress said the people of Amethi has taught Rahul Gandhi a lesson and also thanked the BJP for giving her a second chance to fight from the crucial parliamentary seat despite her defeat in the first attempt in 2014. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul had defeated Irani by 1,07,903 votes.

In a veiled attack at the Congress chief the BJP leader said the Yoga Day tweet by Rahul Gandhi shows his 'neech soch'. Irani was referring to one of Gandhi's latest tweets, where he posted a photo of Indian Army dogs and their handlers performing exercises on the occasion of International Yoga Day, captioning it "New India".

On Thursday, social media was deluged with various posts, trolling the Congress chief brutally as he was seen scrolling through his phone, typing some texts and clicking photographs, during President Ram Nath Kovind's one-hour-long speech at Parliament.

Being asked about her life goals, Irani said, "I have two goals in my life. Get my kids married and live life forever with my husband". The Union Minister said she had never dreamt of becoming a minister.

Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Irani said that he is a man of his words which is the reason behind BJP's overwhelming victory in this Lok Sabha elections. "Whatever PM Modi says he does it," Irani told News Nation.
