Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will speak on a wide range of topics especially on how his ministry will work with the mantra of "sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas", in conversation with News Nation at our Hamari Sansad Sammelan 2019 on Friday, June 21. Naqvi, who took oath as a Cabinet Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second term on May 30, held the same portfolio in the previous BJP government and won the hearts of minorities. Naqvi's "sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas" mantra for the next five years seems to be inspired by PM Modi as the prime minister, in his first Parliament speech after securing a massive mandate in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, vowed to work with the same.
Speaking to the media after taking charge of the Minority Affairs Ministry, Naqvi also said he will work with the mantra of "sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas", adding that priority will be given to "3Es" -- education, employment and empowerment -- for development of minorities. "3Es -- Education, Employment and Empowerment will be the priority to ensure socio-economic-educational empowerment of minorities," he said. "Our commitment is to provide fruits of development to the last person of the society," Naqvi said.
A nationwide awareness campaign is also in pipeline to reduce the school dropout rate among minorities, especially Muslim girls, he stated. "Schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, hostels, Sadbhav Mandap etc. will be constructed on a war footing in minority-concentrated areas across the country to ensure better educational infrastructure under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karykram," Naqvi added.

The senior BJP minister said the campaign to provide employment and employment opportunities to master artisans from the minority communities will be further accelerated. Hunar Haat, which has been proved to be an effective measure to provide employment and employment opportunities to master artisans, will be organised across the country in the coming days, he said.
Naqvi said the ministry has prepared a 100-day roadmap to strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to 'sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas' (with all, for everybody's development and having everyone's trust)." Effective programmes for socio-economic educational empowerment of minorities and providing employment and employment opportunities to them is part of this 100-day roadmap, he said.
Naqvi said that 100 per cent digitisation and GPS mapping of waqf properties across the country will also be a priority for the ministry.
Addressing the 112th governing body and 65th general body meeting of Maulana Azad Education Foundation at Antyodaya Bhawan in New Delhi, Naqvi also announced the Modi government's decision to provide scholarship to minority communities. Several scholarships such as matric, pre-matric, post-matric and merit-cum-means will be given to 5 crore students from minority communities in the next five years.

During his first tenure between 2014 and 2019, the Haj subsidy was done away with under a new policy and women were allowed to go on the pilgrimage without Mehram or a male companion. Apart from the Haj policy, Naqvi, as the Minority Affairs Minister, effectively implemented various schemes aimed at socio-economic-educational empowerment of poor and weaker sections of minorities with the goal of "development with dignity".
Therefore, the 61-year-old minister has been given the responsibility of taking forward the welfare policies and reforms without 'appeasement' policy.
