Pakistan's young batting sensation Babar Azam entered his name in the record books by becoming the joint-fastest player in limited-over cricket history to score 1,000 career runs.
The prolific Pakistani opener equalled the record set by West Indies great Sir Vivian Richards 37 years ago.
Azam achieved the 1,000 career run milestone when he reached 47 not out against Australia in the third ODI at Perth on Thursday.
Azam took just 21st innings to get to 1,000 ODI runs. He joins an elite club of batsmen comprising of West Indies great Sir Vivian Richards, England pair Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott as well as South Africa's Quinton de Kock in reaching the milestone in 21 innings.
