While people across the border were waiting for the mega clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in Asia Cup 2018 on Wednesday (September 19), a Pakistani fan won billions of hearts as he sang the Indian national anthem played before the start of the match.
When both team – Indian national cricket team and Pakistan national cricket team - were lined up for the national anthem, cameras zoomed in on Adil Taj, a die-hard Pakistani fan and an “ambassador of peace”, who was singing the Indian national anthem Jana Gana Mana.

“It was a small gesture towards peace, Adil said when asked about it.
Talking about the heart-winning incident, Adil said, “Some Indian fans were sitting with us in our enclosure. When our national anthem was played, I saw how they stood in respect and also clapped for it.”
Wearing a beautiful smile on his face, Adil said, “I sang Pak anthem and tried my best when Indian anthem was played. Pak fans listened to it respectfully.”
