After making India proud with one gold and two silver on the second day of the 2018 Asian Games, shooters, wrestlers, gymnast and archers now moved forward to better the medal tally on the day 3 of the sporting event. The third day will witness events of swimming, archery, basketball among others. Indian men and women Kabaddi teams will continue their respective group matches while the Indian hockey women team is set to take on Kazakstan in Group B match on Tuesday.

On Monday, India witnessed a nail-biting second day of Asian games 2018 as wrestler Vinesh Phogat became the first Indian woman to bag an Asian Games gold. The 23-year-old thrashed her Japanese opponent Yuki Irie to add the prestigious medal to her kitty. Indian shooter Lakshay Sheoran won silver medal by finishing second in the men's trap final. Manavjit Singh Sandhu, on the other hand, finished fifth in the same. With this, India rose to the seventh spot in the Asian Games medal tally and bagged 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze so far.
Also, Day 3 has a slew of exciting matches lined up and the fans are definitely in for a treat as Indian athletes eye for more medals in Asia’s Asian sporting extravaganza.
