The Asian Games 2018 officially began on Saturday after India's flagbearer and Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra led India's contingent in the opening ceremony. India will start their campaign in different categories, including team badminton, shooting, wrestling, and hockey. After a resounding performance at the 2018 Gold Coast Games, the Indian shooters will kick-start their campaign on Sunday at the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta. The trap players Seema Tomar and Shreyasi Singh will start the day, followed by Lakshay and Manavjit Sindh Sandhu.

Qualification round of 10m air rifle and 10m air pistol is also scheduled for the day for India. All eyes will be on young starlets Manu Bhaker and Apurvi Chandela alongside their teammates Abhishek and Ravi Verma. While Badminton ace Kidambi Srikanth will lead India’s team badminton against the Maldives.
