Indian Men Kabaddi team’s undefeatable domination in the Asian Games ended on Thursday as the Kabaddi team failed to set their foot in the final of the competition for the first time since its inauguration. India were dominated, battered and conquered by the impressive Iran team in the semi-finals in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, the Indian team ended their campaign with a bronze medal and such was the standard set by the team that anything apart from the Gold is an underachievement.

The 18-27 loss to Iran left the Indian camp in tears and the supporters in shock as their domination in Kabaddi ended.
It was a nightmare for the Indian camp at the Theatre Garuda where the Iranians were at their top form and Indians looked like they have no plan B for them. Considered as a rising powerhouse, Iran had settled for the silver in the last two edition of the Asian Games and will now lock horns with Korea, who are touted as the favourites. Both the finalists have beaten team India on their way to the finals.
"I am too stunned to react at the moment. It will take some time to accept that this has exactly happened. But let me tell you there will be the far-reaching impact of this result and repercussions will be huge," Two-time Asiad gold medallist and former skipper Anup Kumar told PTI on Thursday.

The tie-up saw Pro-Kabaddi League players like the Iranian Fazel Atrachali and Abozar Mighani face their Indian counterparts like Ajay Thakur, Pardeep Narwal and co.
As the referee ended the match with the final whistle, the Indians slumped to the mat with their faces in complete disbelief as the Iranian spirits soared. The chest-bumping, fans dancing, wide smiles everything summed up how important this win was for every Iranians.
