Indian badminton starlet PV Sindhu got defeated by the Spaniard Carolina Marin in straight games of 19-21 and 10-21 in the final of BWF Badminton World Championships at Nanjing, China on Sunday.

Sindhu will take home the silver medal after a heart crashing defeat in the finals, while Marin will take the gold.

In the semi-finals, Sindhu defeated Japanese shuttler Akane Yamaguchi in straight games to enter her second consecutive final in the BWF World Championships. While, Marin, the 2016 Olympic gold medallist defeated Chinese star He Bingjiao in a match that lasted an hour and nine minutes.
