With 66 medals (26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze) in its kitty after the eleventh day of competition, India have outshined their performance in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Indian which strengthened its third position in the medal table in Gold Coast had won 64 medals in Glasgow.
India had secured 15 gold, 30 silver and 19 bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. India had claimed the maximum medals at the 2010 edition of CWG which was held in Delhi. Interestingly, over 600 plus Indian contingent competed at the games to bag 101 medals.
Talking about the medal tally, Australia is leading with 79 gold, 59 silver and 60 bronze. England have bagged the second position with 136 medals which include 45 gold, 59 silver and 60 bronze.
Canada is just one spot behind India in the CWG 2018 medal tally. It has secured the fourth position with 82 medals which include 15 gold, 40 silver and 27 bronze.
New Zealand is placed at the fifth position with 45 medals (14 gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze).
