India continued its gold quest at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games on Day 9 with young Bajrang Punia winning the gold medal in freestyle 65 kg wrestling.
Apart from Punia, Anish Bhanwala, the 15-year-old shooter became the country’s youngest ever gold medal winner in the Commonwealth Games. Anish achieved the feat when he stormed his way into the gold medal with a Games record in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event at the Belmont Shooting Centre.
Tejaswini Sawant added another gold medal to her decorated Commonwealth Games resume en route to shattering the games record in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions event.
On the other hand, the 24-year-old Moudgil Anjum Moudgil bagged silver medal in the same event.
