The fifth one-day cricket match between India and New Zealand is all set to be played at ACA-VDCA cricket stadium, Visakhapatnam on October 29. The match wont be interupted by rain, organisers said.
Addressing a press conference here, head of the organizing committee and chairman of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, M T Krishna Babu, said all precautions were being takenand forecast of rain due to cyclone `Kyant' over Bay of Bengal won't affect the match.
Both teams had arrived here and they will have some practise tomorrow, he said. Andhra Pradesh Cricket Association secretary G Gangaraju said the pitch was in good condition, and the stadium had the latest equipment to clear the water if it rained.
Fifty percent of the tickets were sold so far, he said. There was no rain in the last two days.
Police commissioner T Yoganand said that necessary security arrangement had been made and 2,000 security personnels would be deployed on the day of the match.
