After the super-exciting match between India and Afghanistan on Tuesday, Indian cricket fans have now started believing that Ravindra Jadeja is slowly becoming a nightmare for team India in the death overs. In the last match of Super 4 on Tuesday, MS Dhoni-led Indian side was short of 7 runs in the final over and Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan showed his confidence on their star bowler Rashid Khan.
At the 50th over, the Indian side was nine down at 246 with Jadeja on strike. On the first ball of the final over, Jadeja refused to take single to avoid rotation of strike. Jadeja smashes boundary on the very next ball bringing the required total much closer.
The game come on to the last two balls where India need two runs to win, one to tie while Afghanistan requires just one wicket to win.
Rashid Khan bowls to Ravindra Jadeja to which the batsman tries to pull short but the ball takes a top-edge towards mid-wicket and offers a simple catch to Najibullah. The match tied and cricket fans went berserk over the social media.
This was not an isolated incident by Ravindra Jadeja, he even played a pivotal role in the last tied match for India. The year was 2014 when India was chasing a huge total of 314 against New Zealand at Auckland.
On the last ball, India required just two runs to win the match but Jadeja could only manage to take one run and the match tied.
However, Ravindra Jadeja became the Man of The Match for his all-round performance in the match where he picked up two wickets and scored 66 runs.
