India is currently up against Australia for a five-match ODI series and the final game of this cracker series is scheduled to be played at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on March 13. The series is currently leveled 2-2 after heroics from Australian all-rounder Ashton Turner who smashed 84 runs off just 43 deliveries at an astonishing strike-rate of 195.35.

However, two things which caught everyone’s eye was Rishabh Pant’s glovework behind the stumps and Virat Kohli’s captaincy in the death overs, which eventually led everyone to reflect one missing name – MS Dhoni.

Dhoni, who has rested post the third one-day International in Ranchi has been a pivotal member of this squad. He is not only an exemplary behind the stumps, but also shares his all-important experience with Virat Kohli in his difficult times on the field and his absence was very much felt in the fourth ODI.

Dhoni was also adjudicated as the man-of-the-series in the series Down Under because of his batting effort in the series. Even after all this superlative effort, many cricket pundits doubt his inclusion in the team.

On this, the Australian legend Shane Warne went onto back Dhoni’s ability and said, “Virat Kohli is a terrific leader but many a time we can have experience of MS Dhoni to help Virat when pressure is on. It's easy to captain a side when things are going well but when it's tough you need experience like you saw in MS Dhoni.”

Meanwhile, this upcoming game will also be India’s last International assignment before the forthcoming World cup. This remains to be seen if India takes a similar squad in the big event or tinker at some slots.
