When Manoj Tiwary leads his side against Baroda in Lahli on Monday, it will be a historic moment for Bengal cricket team as it will mark their 400th first class match and 396th appearance in Ranji Trophy.

Cricket Association of Bengal Joint Secretary AvishekDalmiya said: "I got it checked from the official statisticianof BCCI. He has sent me a written reply today stating that Bengal's next match will be their 400th first class game and396th Ranji Trophy tie. This is a wonderful thing."

 "I wished Manoj (Tiwary) and wished him and the team the very best on behalf of the CAB. This is a proud moment for theBengal team. I urged them to give the dominant performancethey have been giving the whole season in this match. I a surethey will make this milestone match memorable," he added.

Bengal Coach Sairaj Bahutule said: "It is a milestonematch for Bengal and the team will be charged up to perform. Avishek Dalmiya called me up and wished the whole team all thebest."
