HPCA Cricket Stadium Dharamsala becomes 27th Test Venue in India as India play against Australia in the fourth test which is series decider at this beautiful stadium in the mountain state of Himachal Pradesh.
It is one of the highest international cricket grounds at an elevation of 1457 m above sea level.
The ground came into limelight with few IPL matches held in 2010 season.
Former BCCI president Anurag Thakur played instrumental role in promoting venue to international level.
First ODI played on this ground was between India and England in 2013 when India lost the match by 7 wickets.
First T20 international played at this venue was between India and South Africa in 2015. In that match R Sharma scored a breathtaking ton but De Villiers and Duminy outclassed the Indians to win the game by 7 wickets.
