Indian captain Virat Kohli on Tuesday reclaimed the number one spot in the latest ICC ODI player rankings for batsmen.

Helped by the current form in ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Kohli surpassed South Africa’s top batsman AB de Villiers who had been number one since, February 25, this year

Following his knocks of 81 not out against Pakistan and 76 not out against South Africa, Kohli has surpassed de Villiers and Warner into the numero one spot.

Kohli is ahead of Warner by just one point, had enjoyed just four days at the top in January 2017, but will now be aiming to do better when he faces Bangladesh in the second semi-final at Edgbaston on Thursday.

As far as other Indian players are concerned,  opener Shikhar Dhawan has returned into top ten slots after good performances in the ongoing Champions Trophy. The left-hander is currently at number 5 spot following scores of 68 against Pakistan, 125 against Sri Lanka and 78 against South Africa.
