In the latest ICC ODI team rankings, England have overtaken India to grab the top spot following the annual update.

England’s comeback to the top has been inspirational given the forgettable 2014-15 season which saw them win only seven out of 25 ODIs.

The Brits, who last topped the ODI list in January 2013, have bagged eight points and moved to 125 points.

Meanwhile, India who were at the top of the table before the update, lost only a single point and are sitting in the second place with a total of 122 points.

South Africa, who were second before the update have slipped down to the third place after losing four points, leaving them nine points adrift of India and only a point ahead of fourth-placed New Zealand.

The remaining table remain unchanged, with the current top-10 placed teams are the ones who will be participating in the 2019 ICC World Cup.

Defending champions Australia have lost eight points to go down to 104 in the fifth positions and are only two points ahead of Champions Trophy winners Pakistan, who have gained six points.

Whereas, Bangladesh have gained three points, Sri Lanka have lost seven points, the West Indies have lost five points, Afghanistan have gained five points, Zimbabwe have gained four points and 12th placed Ireland have lost three points.

In the latest T20I rankings, Pakistan are leading, while the other top seven places remain unchanged but Afghanistan are now ahead of Sri Lanka in the eighth spot.

Pakistan and Australia remain in the first two positions respectively without a change in their total while India have gained two points to reach 123. England have gained a point and New Zealand remain unchanged on points.
