India trounced minnows Papua New Guinea by ten-wickets at the Bay Oval on Tuesday to secure a berth in the quarterfinals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup.

With their second victory on the trot, India is comfortably placed on top of Group B table with a healthy net run rate of 3.890.

After bowling out PNG for a paltry 65, Prithvi Shaw led the Indian run chase with an unbeaten 57 and helped his team cruise past the target.

Earlier in the day, left-arm spinner Anukul Roy bowled with exceptional control and clever variations to leave the PNG batsmen clueless against his left-arm spin.

He picked up a five-wicket haul as the PNG innings lasted all of 21.5 overs. Opting for a bowl, seamer Shivam Mavi struck early to pick up two wickets. Kamlesh Nagarkoti came up a brilliant piece of fielding to run out Simon Atai before the procession started.

India will take on Zimbabwe next on January 19.
