Australian Skipper Steve Smith on Tuesday apologised for his occasional fall out of emotions during Border-Gavaskar Series against India.

Host India defeated Australia by eight wickets in Dharamsala Test to clinch the Border-Gavaskar series in emphatic style. He credited Team India for being a fantastic side and clinching a magnificent series full of cricket and controversy.

“It was a magnificent series, probably one of the best I have been part of so far. Credit to India, they are a fantastic side. It was a fantastic learning curve for us. It is one of the most picturesque grounds. It was a very good wicket here. I have been pretty intense throughout the series. I probably let my emotions take over at times and I apologise for that.” added Smith.
