Approval to play a day-night Test during the tour of India, which is set to go on floor in October have been given by West Indies Cricket Board.
India have never hosted or even participated in a day-night Test and this proposed offer by the West Indies Board could be the maiden one for India.
The Committee of Administrators (CoA) will decide the final venue between Rajkot and Hyderabad. The BCCI had earlier proposed the two possible venues for India’s first ever day-night affair.

BCCI had held a meeting on Saturday for discussions on the upcoming season. India will participate only in three Tests at home this season, two against West Indies and one Test versus Afghanistan, which is set to be historic.
Mumbai, Guwahati, Kochi, Indore, and Pune are the selected venues against the Caribbean while, the T20Is will be played at Kolkata, Chennai, and Kanpur.
Afghanistan are set to play their debut Test after becoming and full-time ICC member before the Caribbean side tours India. The Men in Blue will fly to Australia after their series against West Indies.
