India shall be taking on South Africa in the third of the six match ODI series at Newlands, Cape Town on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to commence at 4:30 pm (IST).
Virat Kohli and his brigade who are 2-0 up in the series would look to extend their winning streak and take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series. The 'Men in Blue' have been pretty impressive in their performance.
The cutting edge to the Indian attack has been provided by the spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav who have bamboozled the Proteas batting attack.
Indians would also be happy with the performance of Ajinkya Rahane who grabbed his opportunity at Number four and solved a lot of the team's headache. Skipper Kohli is back to his best with a stellar ton at Centurion and Delhi mate Shikhar Dhawan also looked impressive with a fluent fifty in the last game.
It is notable that Indians have never won an ODI series in South Africa so a win at NewLands will take them closer to achieving their maiden ODI triumph in South Africa.
South African batting has been dented with injuries to Faf Du Plessis and Quinton De Cock both of whom have been ruled out of the series. The young guns Aiden Markram and Khaya Zondo will have to step up a gear and fill in the shoes of their much experienced The Proteas would be keen to have their batting maestreo AB De Villiers back in their side.
The South Africans have been below par with the bat struggling big time against the Indian spin.
While the hosts should shall look to reverse their fortunes with a better all round performance, the Indians would look to dominate them once again with the red cherry and willow.
