MS Dhoni scored his maiden T20I fifty during the third match of the series between India and England at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Wednesday.
It is interesting that India's most successful skipper scored his maiden half-century in T20I after playing 76 matches. There is another interesting fact related to this feat, which is Dhoni scored most T20 international runs without scoring a half-century as captain.
The right-handed wicket keeper batsmen emerged as the most valuable player for India over the years.
In T20 internationals Dhoni has played 76 matches in which he scored 1209 runs with an impressive strike rate of 123.49.
MS Dhoni became captain of Indian T20 side in 2007 where he showed his potential as captain cool. India won the inaugural T20 world cup under his leadership by defeating Pakistan in a thrilling contest.
Dhoni led the side to the finals of the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh, however India lost to Sri Lanka in finals.
