In a tweet to former Australian captain Michael Clarke, Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has urged him to “come out of retirement” as the current Aussie team lacks quality.

“Mate u need to come out of your retirement and start playing again I think.Era of Aussies producing top batsmans is over I feel.No quality,” Singh tweeted.

After Australia’s batting in the 3rd ODI against India, Clarke tweeted that Aussies were 40 runs short of what they finally managed to score.

"3rd ODI IND vs AUS. Aussies look to be about 40 short,” the former Australian captain tweeted.

Singh’s reply came in response of Clarke’s tweet.

Australia have already lost the five-match ODI series with India having taken an unassailable 3-0 lead. With two matches left, Aussies are staring at a whitewash and the batting line-up has left a lot to be desired.

Harbhajan, who has been a thorn in Australia’s flesh during his playing days, had a dig at the team at Clarke’s expense.
