The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors have given left-arm spinner Axar Patel a chance in the last two ODIs against Australia and dropped all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Patel’s ankle got seriously injured in Chennai before the ongoing series, therefore, the selectors had included Jadeja in the 15-man squad as a cover.

India have already clinched the five-match ODI series 3-0. Virat Kohli and team comfortably defeated Kangaroos with five wickets in the 3rd ODI in Indore on Sunday.

The fourth and fifth matches of the series will be played on September 28 and October 1, respectively.
