India and Australia are set to clash in Nagpur on Sunday in the 5th ODI. India has already won the series 3-1 and would like to dominate the last match also.
A rejuvenated Australia, however, stalled India's winning juggernaut by winning the Bengaluru ODI and would look to salvage lost pride in Nagpur.
The curator has promised a sporting pitch with plenty of runs and both the sides will hope that their hard-hitting batsmen come good in the match.
Australia displayed excellent professionalism in Bengaluru as Aaron Finch and centurion David Warner went hammer and tongs against India's bowlers. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami sprayed the ball all over the wicket and the Aussie opening pair enjoyed a run feast.
Although India stopped Australia well below 350, a target of 335 proved too hard for India's stroke makers. Despite a good start provided by openers Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane, India fell short of the target. Kane Richardson, Pat Cummins and Marcus Stoinis starred with the ball for the kangaroos. Adam Zampa too had his revenge on Hardik Pandya and had him caught just short of his half-century mark.
Australia has done well to end their overseas victory draught while halting India's nine-match unbeaten streak in ODIs. However, Steve Smith's face an uphill task while taking on Virat Kohli & Co in the last encounter.
Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami were caught cold on their return to the ODI eleven and the rustiness showed. But the Indian team management is unlikely to bin it's efforts to groom an excellent bowling unit so Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar might get adequate rest.
