Bangladesh are World Champions for the first time in cricketing history. The Bangladeshi players are ecstatic they are running all across the ground with their national flag. What an effort from skipper Akbar Ali. He not just rescued his team when Ravi Bisnoi was spinning his web but also made sure he stay till the end to see his team through. Things were said to the Indians players and their coach asked them to back off. This is Bangladesh, they go crazy. The Indian players on the other hand are silent. They know they missed the chance to defend the title even after bouncing back strongly.

Sushant Mishra has come on the attack. Bangladeshi fans can sense the victory. History will be created at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.

Revised target for Bangladesh is 170 in 46 overs. They need 7 runs in 30 balls.

Update: Rain has stopped and the covers are coming off. Match to resume shortly.

And it has started pouring down heavyly. The players are going off the field. Bangladesh wouldn't mind as they are ahead on DLS par score.

Bangladesh just 16 runs away from creating history. Indians have conceded too many extras in a small target. Score after 41 overs - Bangladesh 163-7; Rakibul Hasan 3 (19), Akbar Ali 42(76)

Three wides from Akash Singh in an over. India will regret the extras they have given - 29. Score after 36 overs: Bangladesh 147-7; Akbar Ali32(55), Rakibul Hasan1(10)

Score after 34 overs: Bangladesh 143/7; Rakibul Hasan 0(6) Akbar Ali 32(47)

OUT! The golden arm of Jaiswal has provided India with a much needed breaktrough. Emon was looking to hit the googly over cover but played it straight into the hands of the fielder. The dangerous partnership comes to an end. India still in the game.

Drinks are on the field. Score after 25 overs: Bangladesh 110/6; Akbar Ali 23(30) Emon 26 (48)

OUT! Two drop catches in an over and finally Sushant Mishra gets his reward. It was banged short and Avishek was looking to pull it but was never in control and the ball took the leading edge. Kartik Tyagi ran from the square leg and finaly pouches it. Bangladesh 102/6 in 23 overs.

Score after 22 overs: Bangladesh - 97-5; Avishek Das 1(3) Akbar Ali 18(22)

OUT! Sushant Mishra has given Bangladesh another blow. It was reckless shot from Shamim Hossain. It was on the up and going away, Shamim played it uppishly but hte cover fielder was near the rop and took a good running catch. Bangladesh five down now.

Score after 18 overs: Bangladesh- 70/4; Shamim Hossain 4(11) Akbar Ali 2(8)

OUT! Lightening strikes at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. Bangladesh are just giving it up under pressure. They have slipped from 50/0 to 65/4. Jurel does a very clean work and he was so confident that he went straight to the umpire and handed him the ball.

OUT! Wicket number three for Bishnoi and his IP frenchise Punjab would be happy to see him wrecking havoc here. The googly turned bacl sharply and Towhid Hridoy had no idea about that. Banglades three down and a fourth one retired hurt.

Maiden over from Akash Singh. Bangladesh has suddenly come under pressure and India have sensed it. And they are on attacking mode.

Score after 14 overs: Bangladesh 62-2.

Another bad news for Bangladesh. Mahmudul is out and Emon is also walking off the field retired hurt. He was struggling with cramps. India suddenly has come back into the game. Two new batsman at the crease. Can the boys in blue pull things back in their favour from here? We'll see. For now, Akash Singh has been brough into the attack.

OUT! Bishnoi strikes again. Big wicket for India as dangerous Mahmudul, who scored a hundred in the semifinal, is sent back to hut. Can India bounce back? Bishnoi has won them matches in the past too. But can he do it today?

Sushant Mishra is looking off balance today. He tried yorkers but bowled beamers and full tosses. Score after 12 overs - Bangladesh: 59/1;

Mahmudul 8(10), Parvez Hossain Emon 22 (39)

OUT! Ravi Bishnoi strikes in the very first over. A much much needed breaktrough for the Indians. Score after 9 overs: Bangladesh - 50/1; Mahmudul Hasan Joy 0(1), Parvez Hossain Emon 21(30)

Score after 3 overs: BAN - 20/0 Tanzid Hasan 8(9); Parvez Hossain Emon

NO Ball! Mishra was trying for a yorker but it slipped out of his hand. Free hit.

Sushant Mishra, left-arm fast medium, comes into the attack from another end.

2 wides, one three and two boundaries in the first over. A very positive start from Bangladesh in chase of 178. 13 for no loss in the first over.

Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan are at the crease. Kartik Tyagi will open the attack for India.

A world class performance from Bangladesh after they opted to bowl first. The Bangladeshi bowlers bowled tight lines and straved the Indians for runs. The defending champions started very quitely and lost opener Saxena early. However, Jaiswal stiched a 94-run third wicket partnership with Tilak Varma in an effort to make up for slow start. However, just when they were looking to capitalise in the middle overs, Varma cut a short ball off Sakib and was caught at sweeper cover. After Varma's wicket, skipper Garg too departed soon. Jaiswal then stiched a small partnership with Jurel before being sent back at 88. After Jaiswal's wicket, India lost the plot and the entire team collapsed. They lost 7 wickets for just 21 runs.

OUT! India has been bundelled out for 177 runs in 47.2 overs.

Maiden over from Hasan. India 174-9 in 47 overs. Last pair on the crease, can they take India to 200? Unlikely task though.

OUT! Wicket number three for Das. India collapses against the Bangladeshi pacers. Karthik Tyagi has to go back to thut. Score after 45 overs: India - 172/9

Bowled! Ankolekar is gone. India continues to lose wickets at cluster. India lose five wickets for 14 runs. This has been the story after Jaiswal's wicket.

OUT! Another run out. Its Ravi Bishnoi this time. Direct hit at striker's end and Bishnoi was clearly short of the crease. India seven down.

OUT! "This is incredible and I haven't seen something like this," says Tom Moody on air. Comedy of errors by the Indians. Jurel kept running without looking at his partner, who just refused to move at the other end. Dhruv Jurel run out. Score after 43 overs: INDU19: 169-6

Score after 40 overs: India - 156-5; Dhruv Jurel14(27), Atharva Ankolekar 0 (0)

Shoriful Islam to Siddhesh Veer, out Lbw!! Huge appeal for lbw and up goes the finger.

Shoriful Islam to Jaiswal, out Caught by Tanzid Hassan!! Islam wins the battle. The leading run-scorer of the tournament has to go and Jaiswal has fallen 12 short of his century.

OUT! Garg has to go back to pavillion. Forget what is said. The skipper threw a very good chance to prove his worth. Flighted delivery just outside off and Garg gifted an easy catch to man at cover. India 114/3 after 31.3 overs.

Skipper Priyam Garg hasn't got much chances in this World Cup. He scored a half century in the opening game against Srilanka. After that he got to bat in the quarters against Australia where he scored just 5 runs. Today is an opportunity for him to prove his worth.

Score after 30 overs: India - 107/2; Jaiswal 59 (94), Priyam Garg 2 (4)

OUT! Sakib strikes. Change of bowling works for Bangladesh. Varma cut the short ball in the air, could not travel the distance and found the sweeper cover fielder. A 94-run stand comes to an end.

Score after 28 overs: IND(U19) - 95/1; Tilak Varma 37(62) Jaiswal 50(89)

Jaiswal Slams Fifty

Another Fifty for Jaiswal. 4 Fifties and a hundred in this tournament. Jaiswal has been the star of India's World Cup effort.

Score after 26 overs: IND(U19)- 83/1; Jaiswal 45(83) Tilak Varma 30(56)

Score after 21 overs: IND(U19) - 66/1; Jaiswal 38(65), Tilak Varma 20(44)

Just three runs off the 21st over. India is still scoring slightly over 3 runs per over. They now need to accelerate a little bid. Verma needs to take chances now. He has played over 40 balls and must score freely. Jaiswal is looking set for another big score and India would want him to stay their longer.

Score after 20 overs: INDU19 - 63/1; Tilak Varma 18(41), Jaiswal 37(62)

A good over from India. 11 runs came off it. Jaiswal and Verma are now looking to target the spinners after some tight bowling from the pacers in the start of innings.

Score after 17 overs: INDU19 - 57/1; Jaiswal 34(56), Tilak Varma 15(29)

FOUR! Second boundry of the over and this time Verma goes down the pitch and hit it through covers. Hossain under pressure.

FOUR! Flighted delivery from Hossain and Jaiswal gets undet it to lofts it over mid-wicket for four.

Both Verma and Jaiswal are playing watchfully. They are leaving the good bowls and now would need to capitalise in the middle overs.

Score after 16 overs: INDU19 - 46/1; Jaiswal 28(52) Tilak Varma 10(27)

Just 2 off the over. Drinks are on the field, Bangladesh have so far kept the Indians in check. Veram departed early after a very quite start. Jaiswal, however, kept his calm and then hit a couple of boundaries. He has been the leading scorer of the tournament and India would once again hope its star batsman to take the team towards a good total. Score after 14 overs: 39/1; Jaiswal 24(46), Tilak Varma 6(21)

Another change. Rakibul Hasan, Left arm orthodox, comes into the attack. Probably Hossain will bowl from another end.

Score after 13 overs: IND U19 - 36/1; Tilak Varma 5(16) Jaiswal 23(45)

Good first over from Hossain as he concedes just 2 off it. Score after 12 overs: INDU19 - 30/1; Jaiswal 20(43), Tilak Varma 3(12)

Bangladesh introduces spin. Shamim Hossain, right arm off break, comes to the attack.

FOUR! What a shot. The timing was superb. A cover drive that soothes the eyes from Jaiswal. It was over pitched and Jaiswal was waiting for it. Punished.

Another good over from Sakib. Just 2 off the over. Score after 10 overs: India- 23/1; Jaiswal 14(34), 2 (8)

Score after 9 overs: IND-U19: 21-1; Jaiswal 13(32), Tilak Varma 1(5)

FOUR! Superb timing from Jaiswal and it races in the gape between mid-on and mid-wicket.

Verma is down and growling in pain. The physio is running towards him as he continues to roll on the ground. Looks serious. Reply shows the throw from mid-on hit him at the knee cap. Not a good sign for India.

Score after 8 overs: India-U19: 15-1; Jaiswal 9(29), Tilak Varma0(2)

FOUR! First boundry of the innings and it came after 7.4 overs. This will release some pressure from Jaiswal.

OUT! Saxena has succumbed to the pressure. Bangladesh was bowling very tight lines and kept both the openers in check. They were starved of runs and Saxena was looking to hit it on the up and it went straight to the point. Reward for Avishek Das.

Another maiden from Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Just one run from the 6th over that too from wide. Indians are playing too cautiously.

Indian openers have survived the first five overs. It has been good bowling from Bangladesh. (India 7/0 after 5 overs, Jaiswal 3*, Saxena 2*)

Another over, another maiden. It has been a slow start for India so far. 3 maidens in 4 overs.

India have finally opened their account. Four runs from the third over. (India 4/0 after 3 overs, Jaiswal 2*, Saxena 1*)

Another Maiden. India have not managed to score a single run in the first two overs. That's at good start for Bangladesh.

Maiden. A very good start by Shoriful Islam- he was getting a good shape from the wicket. Jaisawal was confident and watchful. (India 0/0 after one over)

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Divyansh Saxena are at the crease. Jaiswal is on strike. Shoriful Islam will open the attack for Bangladesh.

The national anthems are done. We are about to start the on-field action shortly. Meanwhile, take a look at the playing 11s:
