Shikhar Dhawan once again failed to provide India a required start and fell early in India’s chase of England’s massive first innings 332 in the 5th Test at Kennington Oval in London on Saturday. Batting first in the match, England posted 332 on the scoreboard courtesy Jos Buttler’s magnificent 89 off 133 balls and Stuart Broad’s 38 off just 59 balls. After India’s impressive fight back in the third session of the opening day, English lower order-led by Buttler frustrated Indians enough to take the score past 300. Broad and Buttler had a wonderful 98-run 9th wicket stand before Ravindra Jadeja broke the partnership.

Here are the highlights of India vs England, 5th ODI:

#Stumps: England finish day two on top. Score after 51 overs: India 174-6; Jadeja 8(10); Hanuma Vihari 25(50) Click here for full Scorecard

#OUT! Pant is behaving like a school player. At home, he knows how to score runs and quickly as well. But overseas, things are different and he needs to understand that. Stoke sends him back to hut. India 160-6.

#OUT! Virat Kohli out. Stokes bowled it full and wide, Kohli tried to chase that but the ball took the edge and went straight into the hands of Cook. India lost the first innings? or can Hanuma Vihari announce his arrival in the international cricket in style?

# Score after 46 overs: India: 154-4

#OUT! Anderson has broken the backbone of the Indian team. First Pujara and now Rahane. He has now become the leading wicket taker (107) against India.

#OUT! End of Pujara's innings. He bowled it at good length and just outside off and Pujara needlessly goes after it. The ball took an edge and goes straight to Bairstow's gloves.

# OUT!!! End of KL Rahul's stay. Just when India were looking in a stable condition after Kohli's fall, Sam Curran comes in and ends the partnership between Pujara and Rahul. Score after 23 overs: India - 70/2

# TEA Break: India have recovered well after losing Dhawan early. They are 53/1 - the Test is very evenly poised at the moment.

#OUT!! Massive blow for India. Dhawan once again failed to provide India with a start they needed to chase England's first innings total. India 6/1.

# Welcome back. Dhawan and Rahul come out to bat. Anderson will open the attack for England. Three runs! Rahul off the mark first ball.

Innings Break

#OUT! Finally, Jadeja finally takes his man. Buttler out England all out but they will be happy to put 332 on board.

# SIX! Bumrah thought of giving a surprise to Buttler, bowls it short but that not gonna save him today. Its completely Buttler's day today.\

#SIX! Booom!! That came of nowhere. Buttler switches to IPL mode and hit it long enough over mid-wicket. The intention is clear, he is going to go after every ball.

# OUT! I knew it only sir Jadeja can do this. What a catch by KL Rahul in the slips. He caught it flying like a superman. End of Broad's perseverance. he scored 38 off just 59 balls. England 312/9.

# Welcome back. Jadeja to lead Indian attack. Can he do that? Of course, he can. "Inn hatho ne hathiyar chhode hai, chalana nahi bhule," (He has still got all his powers.)

300 up for England! From 187/7 to 300/8. What a comeback I would have to say its better than the way India fought back yesterday (Friday). England will go for LUNCH with all smiles and India will have to introspect and plan their post-lunch session accordingly.

# FIFTY! Another half century for Buttler. What an innings from the southpaw. He has been in dream form since IPL. With his 10th Test 50, Buttler has scripted a historic comeback.

# FOUR! Buttler survives the beauty from Shami to start the over. Streaky it was. But as they say, luck favours the brave.

Scorecard after 107 overs: ENG 263/8

#OUT! Bumrah removes Rashid. He went for review but the ball was clipping the leg stump. The original decision was out so umpire's call remained. England eight down.

#LIVE Action to begin shortly: Players are out in the middle. Rashid and Buttler will resume England's first innings. How long can they take England?

#Hello and welcome to News Nation live updates and scorecard of India vs England 5th ODI, Day 2: India will look to finish things off as early as possible with just three wickets left. However, the series has witnessed English lower order has been too stubborn for Indian bowlers to get rid of easily and Buttler would once again like to take it as long as he can. Only positive India would say thank to god is that there is no Sam Curran. Stay with us as we bring you all the latest updates from India's battle for Pride.
