After a record setting 5-0 clean sweep in the T20I series, India will look to continue their winning momentum in the ODI series against New Zealand. India are set to play three ODIs, starting Wednesday. India, however, suffered a big blow ahead of the match as limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the ODI and Test series.  Rohit had to retire hurt during 5th T20I match that India won on Sunday.

Mayank Agarwal has been confirmed as Rohit's replacement for the ODI series while Shubman Gill - who recently slammed a double ton against New Zealand day, has been called for the Test series. Agarwal was the logical choice in the white-ball format since he was the reserve opener in the side during the home ODI series against the West Indies when Shikhar Dhawan was absent due to knee injury. However, he is not expected to play in the first match with KL Rahul and Prithvi Shaw expected to open for India.
